Quakers Sign Adam Mitchell

The club is pleased to announce the signing of Adam Mitchell until the end of the season.

Adam Mitchell

Adam has been at Sunderland since 2010, progressing through the youth and development squads and playing many games for Sunderland reserves. Manager Martin Gray believes the player will be a useful addition to the squad and we welcome Adam to the club.

Adam played for the Sunderland under-18 side while still a schoolboy and progressed onto a two-year scholarship in summer 2010. No player featured more for the Black Cats youth team than Adam during the 2010/11 season as he played a total of 31 games, scoring six goals.

He added another five goals in 23 games for the young Black Cats in 2011/12.

Adam also broke into the reserves during the 2011/12 campaign, playing a total of 12 games and scoring twice. Mitchell was a regular for the development last term with 22 appearances to his name. Adam also won a call-up to the first team for the final game of the 2012-13 season, appearing as a late substitute against Spurs.
